As you all are aware, news about the coronavirus is everywhere you turn right now. We want you to know that the Culinary Kitchen of Athens has been carefully following the COVID-19 virus and staying on top of safety and precautionary measures. The best way to prevent infection is to practice social distancing and monitor your health regularly. However, as a reminder, here are some daily recommendations to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus:
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer (60% or greater).
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay home when you are sick.
Cover your cough and sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces. Including all cell phones, laptops, and other electronics.
The safety and well being of our community is of the upmost importance to us at the Culinary Kitchen of Athens. We support the community and the actions that have been enacted to protect the health and well being of the greater population. The impact of these temporary closures hits close to home in a small college town like Athens. We support the local businesses here and across every college town as they rally from a temporary loss in population and perhaps revenue. Thus, the Culinary Kitchen of Athens strongly encourages each of you to continue to support your own hometown businesses now more than ever, as we do in our hometown of Athens.
